Northern California USSSA
2012 Women’s Program Changes
New 2012 Program
Establish a “D” list consisting of all 2011 “E” teams bumped to “D” and 2011 “D” teams. All new teams begin play as “D” teams until their classification can be determined.
The run spot for 2012 remains the same as 2011.
All rosters must be registered on-line at www.usssa.com before a team is allowed to play a second USSSA tournament. The team manager is responsible for bringing a signed copy of their roster to the tournament director and the manger must identify all upper class players. Example: A manager of an “E” team must indicate all “D” classified players. If a team fails to register their roster on-line after two tournaments, said team will be automatically bumped to the next highest classification.
The matrix for 2012 remains the same.
Any team winning two qualifying tournaments will be required to play up in class until their classification may be determined. These teams will not have their USSSA classification altered unless they win an NIT of a higher classification. Example: A “D” team moves up and wins a “C” NIT without a run spot, the Women’s Classification Committee may determine that said team be reclassified to “C”.
There are no “C” players allowed in “E”. A Women’s “E” team may carry three “D” players from the list at www.norcalusssa.com.
